1. Star Talent Palmer Ready for Important Capital Derby with The Gunners

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the team's significant top-flight match against local rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old England international had been sidelined due to a broken toe suffered after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca commented. “All involved are pleased.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has made only four appearances across all competitions, scoring twice.

Following his transfer from Manchester City in 2023, he has recorded 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 appearances for the London club.

“He is our top performer, we are delighted he is back, we need to allow him time to be 100% fit,” Maresca noted. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do very good for this club in the future.”

2. Everton Receive No Reason for Rejected Idrissa Gueye Red Card Appeal

The Merseyside club were unsuccessful in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's sending off for a fight with teammate Michael Keane during the team's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegal midfielder was shown a red card just early on into the game after slapping Keane amid a dispute over a misplaced pass.

The player immediately apologized, and the pair were seen making up afterwards in a mock social media post.

However, the challenge against the red card was turned down, and Gueye must complete a three-match suspension, making Everton depleted for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle.

“We lodged an appeal and it was unsuccessful,” coach David Moyes revealed. “We received no rationale for the denial but we did appeal it.”

When asked about additional consequences from the incident, Moyes remarked: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we progressed swiftly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

The club's recent acquisition Yoane Wissa has trained with his squad for the initial occasion since suffering a knee problem soon after his move from his former club in September.

Head coach Eddie Howe confirmed the news on Friday but withheld a potential comeback timeline for the 29-year-old.

The team brought in the forward for £55m to replace Alexander Isak, who joined Liverpool for a British record transfer fee.

Regrettably, Wissa was hurt while on international duty before he could play his first game for his new club.

“His recovery is going smoothly, he trained with us for the first time on Wednesday, so I was extremely satisfied with how he looked,” Howe commented. “It was his initial competitive session with the team. Let’s see how he responds today.”

The manager added: “We have a target return date, but it’s probably best if I do not share it publicly. We don’t want to disappoint anyone. Naturally, we want to utilize him as quickly.”

In other news, Kieran Trippier will be out of action for a month with a hamstring issue.

4. The Reds' Poor Form ‘Irrelevant’, Says West Ham Boss Nuno

The Hammers manager Nuno Espírito Santo has insisted that the reigning champions' recent poor form “should not be a focus” as his team prepares to take on the struggling Premier League champions.

The Liverpool manager's side has lost six of the last seven Premier League matches, dropping out of the top 10 of the table.

However, Nuno emphasized that there can be no room for overconfidence when the sides meet on the weekend at the London Stadium.

West Ham will have available Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their recovery from injury.

Fifth Story: Morgan Gibbs-White in Contention for Forest against The Seagulls

The club's boss Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be available for the side's at home fixture against Brighton on Sunday.

The English player was absent for the midweek European game against Malmö due to a back injury.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche said as he got ready to face Fabian Hürzeler's team, who have secured seven points from their past three matches.

“It’s like a bad back, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just rest awkwardly or twist funny. So we’re not anticipating, at this point anyway, that it’s very severe and it’s settling down already. So we’re confident that it’ll be fine for the weekend.”

Murillo was feeling his hamstring after the comfortable European victory, but Dyche said the player “is expected to be okay”.

However, Ola Aina (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), the winger (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to miss out.
